New GREENCAP Publication!

We are proud to announce that our partner UNISTRA has published a new GREENCAP article titled “Exotic Photothermal Response in Ti-Based MXene Optoelectronic Devices” in Advanced Electronic Materials.

The publication explores the optoelectronic properties of devices based on Ti₃C₂Tₓ and Ti₂CTₓ thin films, revealing a remarkable contrast in their photothermal responses under laser irradiation. Despite exhibiting similar absorption coefficients at 450 nm, the two materials demonstrate distinctly different thermal excitation and relaxation behaviors. Notably, Ti₂CTₓ devices display a pronounced asymmetry during the heating-cooling cycle, with heat dissipation kinetics up to three orders of magnitude slower than those of Ti₃C₂Tₓ.

These findings shed new light on the fundamental photothermal mechanisms of MXenes and open exciting prospects for their use in printed and wearable optoelectronics, including memory devices and neuromorphic computing.
